Help at home and at church
Sometimes being a parent or carer to a child with additional needs can be incredibly challenging. We have met with parents and carers who feel lonely and isolated and who find being part of church difficult. However, when families feel seen and heard, they want to belong, and participate fully in church life.
If this is you, then we hope that through the All Belong Hub we can offer you support on this journey where both the challenges and the joys are welcome, so that you and your child can feel seen, heard and understood.
Every month in our podcast we will be speaking to experts or those with lived experience, who will share their insights on how to help children with additional needs and trauma.
We will be reviewing the latest literature that might help you and your church.
And you will have access to a session plan for children’s groups designed especially for children with additional needs so that you can help your church understand your family's needs better.
You will also have the opportunity to be part of an online community of church accessibility champions and other parents/carers like you. This will be a space where you can share thoughts, questions or ideas. We hope that topics and resources will emerge from the community, shaped by the questions, challenges and experiences of our members.
Our team of therapists are available to your for £50 for one hour of tailored support to help your family can engage in church life. (Payment will be taken later)
